The city of Snohomish is home to a number of great public parks and outdoor recreational spots. These parks make it easy to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful Snohomish weather.

Location
Snohomish is a city in the northwest of Washington state. It is situated on the Snohomish River, southeast of Everett and northwest of Monroe.
Snohomish has a population of 9,098. It is known as the “Antique Capital of the Northwest.”
The town has a historic business and residential center, the Snohomish Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many houses in the district bear plaques indicating when and who occupied them.
Ferguson Park is a family-friendly municipal park that is right by Blackman Lake. It features conifers and riparian wetlands.
It is a lovely little park tucked away in an evergreen glade with lots of parking and big trees that provide plenty of shade and coverage.
The park is also home to a 9-hole course that is pretty small and is a great way for beginners or kids to get some practice in. The park also has a playground and other amenities.
Amenities
Ferguson Park is a family-friendly neighbourhood park that offers a playground, sprayground and pavilion. It also features trails that are perfect for walking, hiking or biking.
The park is near Blackman Lake and provides great habitat for birds like Mallards, Hooded Mergansers, Northern Pintails, American Wigeons, Ring-necked Ducks, Lesser Scaups, Western Grebes, Double-crested Cormorants and Dark-eyed Juncos.
It also has riparian wetlands and conifers. It’s a popular birding spot in spring and winter. A great post!
There are also boat launches at the north end of the park and bank access on the south side. You can also fish for trout in the nearby lake.
Snohomish has an abundance of parks and natural areas. Its downtown district features an historic business district and many attractions. The city is also the southern terminus of the Centennial Trail, an intercity multi-use path for pedestrians and cyclists. It has several community transit routes and one park and ride lot. Its library and senior center are among the city’s most popular destinations.
Parking
One of the best parts about living in Snohomish is that you have access to a great range of parks, playgrounds and recreational facilities. These include Currie View Park, Exploration Park and Spruce Park.
The city also boasts numerous trails, including the Centennial Trail, a multi-use path that stretches from the northern tip of the county to the southern tip.
If you don’t have a car, you can opt for public transit. There are a number of bus routes that travel through the area, with some stops even serving Ferguson Park.
However, if you do have a car, parking in the neighborhood can be a challenge. Street parking is typically free, but you may have to search for a spot on your own. There are also a few parking garages and lots around the neighborhood.
Safety
Snohomish is known for its parks and other recreational facilities. Ferguson Park is a great example of these.
The city has a number of safety measures and features that make it safe for everyone to enjoy. These include pedestrian crossings and bicycle lanes.
However, it’s important to remember that accidents still happen. If you’re walking on a busy street or riding your bike, be aware of other drivers and be prepared to stop or slow down if needed.
There are also many hills on Riverview Road that obscure drivers’ ability to see oncoming traffic. This can be dangerous, especially when it’s dark or raining.
As a former resident of Snohomish, I want to thank the citizens of this town for restoring the Carnegie Library building. It’s a testament to the community’s determination and hard work. The city has done a good job of supporting the project and encouraging donations from local businesses and nonprofits.
